Contract Chef

Join us as our a Contract Chef and help deliver our mission - to improve the nutrition, health and wellbeing of people experiencing food insecurity in London.
Our Contract Chef will have a minimu of 20 hours per week delivering sessions across a variety of services. You will be enthusiastic about working in a sustainable model, where you will be able to think outside the box to create recipes utilising surplus food. This role requires full management of the kitchen including, but not limited to, keeping a thorough inventory, waste management, maintaining high cleaning and food safety standards, supporting cooking volunteers, and working collaboratively with staff to develop and deliver the nutrition education programme in the coming months. We are looking for a minimum commitment of 6 months.

Kitchen Supervisor
As a Volunteer Kitchen Supervisor you will gain valuable experience in managing kitchen operations and learn about other aspects of kitchen and food management. Your main tasks will be leading a small team of amazing volunteers that cook the meals at our sessions and overseeing the day-to-day running of the cooking sessions, including checking that equipment has been cleaned, checking supplies and rotating food stock.

You will work closely with our marketing team to create engaging social media posts tailored to diverse audiences.
