How/why did you get involved in FEAST?

I have worked for 3 other charities in the past and I have enjoyed it very much . I came across Feast last year and I support everything they are doing for the community.

Anything FEAST is doing that you are particularly passionate about?

During the pandemic, I was working for a private school in Hampstead as a catering manager. I was the only person in the whole school that volunteered to go cook for the elderly and housebound people. A company would come and collect the food from me and distribute it amongst the local community. I felt very happy to have helped and I have been keen to work for charities after working for 20 years for the very rich. I feel like I’ve got a lot to offer by helping with the smooth running of the kitchen with high standards of food nutrition and food safety. Even though people suffer from hunger and homelessness we still have to be aware of food, allergies and intolerances. Peoples immune systems may be low therefore hygiene and food safety is crucial.

Hobbies and interests outside of work?

I am a mother of four grown-ups and five grandchildren. I have two little dogs, a Pomeranian and a Yorkie. In my spare time, I like to walk my dogs and enjoy open spaces.
