Bobbie-Jo Muir

Redbridge Food Partnership Coordinator

What is your role within FEAST?

Redbridge Food Action Alliance Coordinator.

How/why did you get involved in FEAST?

Growing up in the East End I have always had a strong sense of community with a passion for advocating for people from a disadvantaged background like my own. I have worked within my local community for 15 years journeying across Local Authority, private sector, housing and catering but nothing felt right until I found my calling within the Charity sector working with some of the most creative, proactive and empowering minds. I had found my tribe. Why FEAST gives me a buzz.. Community Participation advocating for shared power, co-decision making, and local placed giving really inspires me and coming to the FEAST Family allows me to follow this on their amazing journey. Connecting others, sharing the love, spreading the word and empowering more people to become food confident, food positive and food secure.

Anything FEAST is doing that you are particularly passionate about?

FEAST have so many great projects however I am looking forward to sharing the suitability importance's and impacts within Redbridge Food Partnerships enabling more groups big or small to take control of their own food footprint , generate recycling projects and share good practises across another borough.

Hobbies and interests outside of work?

I am a very busy auntie arranging crafting sessions at home getting the children involved in everything from knitting to drip pour painting. Listening to oldskool RnB or 90s garage is my happy place which the children don’t enjoy so much.
