What do you do outside of FEAST professionally?
In my spare time I’m training to be a therapist with the aim of accepting a few clients in my free time.
How/why did you get involved in FEAST?
Background was in psychology and research. Had a year away and spent it volunteering and enjoyed helping people so decided to do that for work. First charity job was with Fareshare, UK’s largest distributor of surplus food. Met lots of impactful orgs and saw the importance of food and dangers of food insecurity. Applied to work for FEAST as a way of having a more direct impact on a small population.
Anything FEAST is doing that you are particularly passionate about?
I think our HEP is a fantastic service and idea. The feedback to it so far has been exactly what I had hoped for when we talked about it as an idea. I think education is the solution to so many issues, but it is much harder to provide so to see the impact it is having on our service users is amazing.
Hobbies and interests outside of work?
I love Lego, and I have a room full of it! I’m also a big reader and like anything with a psychological/ therapy angle.
I’m also a big fan of horror films and try to keep up with as many scary films as I can!
